Martial arts is a system of training sessions intended
for combat. They were made to overcome and defend
against threats. A interesting fact is that word “martial” become from name Mars,
who was Roman god of war. Although most people think of martial arts in their
minds have China or Japan. However, the main inventor and creator of the
martial philosophy was an Indian monk-Bodhidharma. He was the one who passed his
knowledge to the Chinese and some say he even created shaolin.
There are
generally 5 types of martial arts

Striking style (boxing,karate)

Grappling style (Brazilian ju juitsu,
wrestling)
3.
Throwing and takedown style (judo,
aikido)
4.
Weapon style (Kendo)
5.
Low Impact or Meditative Styles (Chi
Gong based styles)
6.
MMA – hybrid of striking, grappling
and takedown style.
