The history and types of karate

 In 1372, when was the agreement beetween Ryoku Island and China. For this reason many Chinese families moved to the Okinawa - the largest island in Ryoku chain. Then the martial arts that preceded karate began to develop, for example Shuri-te, Naha-te, and Tomari-te. After this Sakukawa Kanga started teach people about his own martial arts. One of his student Matsumura Sokon a blend of te and Shaolin styles, which would later become known as Shorin-Ryu. But the man whose name was Itosu Anko called the grandfather of karate promoted karate in the world and introduced compulsory classes in this sport at school.

Basic goals of karate is delf-defence. It teaches blocks, punches, kicks, also throws and joint locks.

  1. I don't see any sources, so I can't check your information, but I think this post is chaotic. There is something about the agreement between Ryoku Island and China and then you wrote about martial arts development. But why exactly it happened? What was the reason? I would love to know. Also, there is not much information about types of karate, you just said that there is Shuri-te, Naha-te - but what does it mean? What is the difference between them?
